Shipping policy

SHIPPING POLICY

SECTION 1 - GENERAL SHIPPING INFORMATION All orders are subject to product availability. If an item is not in stock at the time you place your order, we will notify you and refund you the total amount of your order, using the original method of payment.

SECTION 2 - ORDER PROCESSING TIME (HANDLING) Please allow ample time for us to prepare your order with care.

  • Standard Processing: Please allow 2 to 4 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) for us to process, pack, and dispatch your order from our facility in Delta, BC.

  • High Volume Periods: During holidays, sales, or new product launches, processing times may extend up to 5-7 business days.

  • Order Cut-Off: Orders are processed during standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM PST). Orders received after 12:00 PM PST will begin processing the following business day.

SECTION 3 - SHIPPING ESTIMATES & DELIVERY TIMES Delivery times are estimates only and commence from the date of shipping, rather than the date of order. Delivery times are to be used as a guide only and are subject to the acceptance and approval of your order. Breadables Inc. is not responsible for any delays caused by destination customs clearance processes or carrier delays.

 

1. Shipping to Canada

 

  • British Columbia & West Coast: 3 - 7 Business Days

     

  • Central Canada (AB, SK, MB): 5 - 10 Business Days

     

  • Eastern Canada (ON, QC, Maritimes): 7 - 14 Business Days

     

  • Remote Locations / Territories: 14 - 21 Business Days

2. Shipping to the USA

  • Standard Shipping: 8 - 15 Business Days

  • Remote / Rural USA: 15 - 20 Business Days

  • Note: Delays at the US/Canada border are common. Please allow extra time for your package to clear US Customs and FDA inspection.

SECTION 4 - SHIPPING RATES Shipping cost is calculated automatically at checkout based on weight and destination. Because flour is a heavy product, shipping rates are determined directly by the carrier (Canada Post, UPS, etc.) based on the total kilogram weight of your cart and the distance to your address. We do not control these carrier rates.

  • Free Shipping: If we offer a free shipping promotion, it applies to Standard Shipping only and may exclude remote regions (such as the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut).

SECTION 5 - USA ORDERS (CUSTOMS, DUTIES & FEES) We ship our "Made in Canada" flour to the United States Duty-Free under the USMCA (CUSMA) free trade agreement. However, recent changes to US Customs regulations (Effective August 2025) have changed how fees are collected.

1. Duty-Free Status: Because our products are Made in Canada, you will NOT be charged Import Tariffs (Taxes) on the flour itself.

2. Carrier & Brokerage Fees (Important): Even though the product is tax-free, the shipping carrier (UPS, FedEx, DHL, or Canada Post) must still file formal entry paperwork with US Customs and the FDA to clear the food shipment.

  • The Carrier will charge YOU a "Brokerage" or "Entry Prep" fee for this service.

  • These fees are typically $15.00 - $40.00 USD and are collected from you upon delivery.

  • Breadables Inc. does not collect or control these carrier fees.

3. FDA Prior Notice: All food shipments entering the USA require an "FDA Prior Notice" filing. If your carrier charges a fee to file this document on your behalf, this fee will also be included in your delivery bill.

4. Refusal of Package: If you refuse to pay these carrier fees upon delivery and the package is returned to us, we will deduct the return shipping cost + a 20% restocking fee from your refund. If Customs destroys the package because payment was refused, no refund will be issued.

SECTION 6 - SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS

  • P.O. Boxes: We can ship to P.O. Boxes in Canada via Canada Post. For USA orders, we require a physical street address as UPS/FedEx often cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes.

  • Multiple Addresses: To ship to multiple addresses, please place a separate order for each unique address.

  • Safety Restrictions: We reserve the right to cancel any order that appears suspicious or is flagged by our fraud protection system.

SECTION 7 - LIABILITY FOR LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES

  • Transfer of Responsibility: Breadables Inc. is not responsible for lost or stolen packages once they have been marked as "Delivered" by the shipping carrier.

  • Secure Location: It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the shipping address is secure. We recommend shipping to a workplace or a location where someone is available to receive the package.

  • Investigation: If a package is lost in transit (not yet delivered), we will open an investigation with the carrier. This process can take up to 10 business days. We cannot send a replacement until the carrier concludes their investigation.

SECTION 8 - DAMAGED GOODS If there is any damage to the packaging on delivery, contact us immediately at gfbreadables@gmail.com.

  • Required Evidence: You must keep all original packaging materials and the damaged product. We require photos of the box (exterior) and the product (interior) to file a claim.

  • Timeline: Damages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

SECTION 9 - WRONG ADDRESS & RETURNED SHIPMENTS It is the responsibility of the buyer to make sure that the shipping address entered is correct.

  • Returned to Sender: If a package is returned to Breadables Inc. due to an incorrect address, missing unit number, or unclaimed status, the customer is responsible for the cost of re-shipping.

  • Non-Refundable Shipping: If you choose to cancel the order after it is returned to us, we will refund the product cost only. The original shipping cost is non-refundable.

SECTION 10 - FORCE MAJEURE (DELAYS BEYOND OUR CONTROL) Breadables Inc. is not liable for any delays in delivery caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters or extreme weather conditions (snowstorms, floods, wildfires).

  • Labor strikes, transportation disruptions, or carrier delays.

  • Pandemics, government restrictions, or customs holds.

  • Internet or telecommunications failures.
